POOL CLOSURE SURVEY VOTING RESULTS AND REPORT

Into

Owners, the committee had been approached by some owners asking and requesting that a vote should be taken on closing the swimming pool to reduce the communal charges. The committee arranged for a vote to take place and the counting of votes in accordance with Appendix A of the Management Agreement and Clause 10 of the General Agreement. [both documents are available to you on our website]

Voting was done via an online survey. The link to the survey was sent via an email sent through our emailing system. The committee also gave “notice” via a notice on the communal doors. Therefore all owners should have been made aware of the vote.

Voting

Voting was “opened” on 23rd June 2022 and “Closed” on the 7th July 2002. It was agreed that owners who did not participate in vote for whatever reason would be deemed to have voted AGAINST the closure of the pool.

The report contains the RESULTS of this vote (which will be placed on the Website, Forum and emailing system).

Results

The results from the online voting system:

YES I wish the pool to be closed
  2 Votes

NO I wish the pool to remain open 19 Votes

No of owners who voted 21

Owners that did not submit a vote will be deemed to have voted by default, which means that the vote will be counted has “NO I do not wish the pool to close”

No of votes deemed to be default 21

The committee also received a number of emails.

2 Emails were from owners who wished to change their vote from “YES I wish the pool to be closed” to “NO I wish the pool to remain open”.

2 owners sent in emails instead of voting online (for whatever reason) to register their vote both opted for “NO I wish the pool to remain open”
